Zhongtian Roots Vacuum Pump Units are custom-engineered vacuum systems combining Roots vacuum boosters with suitable backing pumps and auxiliary equipment. The Roots booster provides high pumping speed in the low- and medium-vacuum range, while the backing pump establishes fore-vacuum and handles final gas compression and discharge. Depending on the process, systems can be configured with dry screw, liquid ring, oil-free reciprocating or rotary vane backing pumps, together with condensers, separators, filtration, cooling and automatic control equipment. Each system is configured according to the required pumping speed, operating pressure, gas composition, vapour load and automation requirements.
Working Principle
The backing pump first evacuates the system to a fore-vacuum level at which the Roots booster can safely start. The Roots booster then operates in series with the backing pump, multiplying the effective pumping speed in the medium-vacuum range. Multi-stage Roots configurations can achieve lower ultimate pressures. System configuration, number of stages and backing pump type are selected according to the required pumping speed, operating pressure and process conditions.
