PUMP SELECTION TOOL
Vacuum Pump Selection
Tool
Series-level pre-selection based on rated data. Results are candidates for engineering verification — not confirmed model selections or verified working-point performance.
How would you like to start?
Choose the path that best matches your available process information.
Not sure which path to take?
Send us your process details and our engineers will identify suitable series candidates for you.
How to select a vacuum pump
- 1Identify inlet working pressure in mbar(a), not only ultimate pressure.
- 2Enter the required pumping speed in m³/h for rated-data series screening; include the working pressure and gas conditions for engineering verification.
- 3Describe gas composition, moisture, temperature, duty cycle and available utilities.
- 4Compare series candidates and have an engineer verify the model, configuration and working point.
What this selector can tell you
- Series candidates are matched against rated data from our product range — not against performance curves at your specific working point.
- Path B application estimates are reference comparisons only, not confirmed process parameters.
- LG and LGB dry screw series appear in parameter- and application-based results only when an oil-free process is explicitly required.
- Roots booster candidates always require a backing pump and full system selection by an engineer.
- Path C uses the existing brand and model to suggest possible series candidates. If the pump type cannot be identified, references are for general discussion; direct interchangeability requires engineering confirmation.
